Dear mentors,
I hope you are well. Thank you so much for reading my email. My name is Chenhao Liu, a student majoring in computer science at the University of California San Diego. I really want to work on your project and now I am getting familiar with the project and the knowledge it requires. I am an experienced Go developer building several projects using Go. One such project was a cloud-based file storage service called SurfStore, which is based on Dropbox and the RAFT protocol. This application allows users to sync files to and from the cloud and utilizes distributed consensus to ensure the safety and availability of data. In addition to my experience with Go, I have an amount of knowledge in HTTP and caching as well. With my background in programming and experience, I am confident in my ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks in GSoC. Should I share a draft proposal with you or do something to get feedback? If you have any feedback or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for considering my application, and I hope I could be one of the contributors to the Apache Software foundation. Best regards, Chenhao Liu
