Hey All- Just over 10 years ago, Comcast made the first commit [1] to what would become Traffic Control, and it's been a great ride. Unfortunately, activity in ATC has now tailed off, if not entirely ceased. We are challenged finding enough contributors to review code and perform the minimum required maintenance.
A few options on where we can go from here: 1) Move ATC to Attic Attic is another Top Level project that's responsible for archiving otherwise dormant projects. Attic is essentially an archive of the code without the typical ASF release guarantees. There's no failure here- plenty of projects have entered the Attic, most recently Mesos last month. 2) Bring in new contributors In order to restore this project to viability we would need enough active contributors to deal with a current backlog of items and a commitment to future maintenance.
