Casting Error Installing on 64-bit

Attempting to install on 64-bit OS returns this error in multiple places -
Socks.cc just happens to be the first one. Looking this up on the internet
shows that the problem is that casting using a pointer to/from an integer
breaks in 64-bit because you are trying to cast a 64-bit data type into a
32-bit data type. I'm not a C programmer by trade so I have no idea how to fix
this one.
