I can confirm this is the issue, had the exact same issue when writing up some articles and this fixed it :)

Ahh, I think I know why, you have pristine host headers enabled (it's in records.config). This makes the Host: header be ec2-50-17-143-39.compute-1.amazonaws.com, which google then interprets as you doing something crazy, and they redirect you to www.google.com. That is then rewritten by your reverse_map rule back to your machine again, and therefore the loop.

Just change the pristine host header setting to 0, and see if that doesn't help.
