Hi again,
Here is a first draft:
Trafodion
Trafodion is a webscale SQL-on-Hadoop solution enabling transactional or
operational workloads on Hadoop.
Trafodion has been incubating since 2015-05-24.
Three most important issues to address in the move towards graduation:
1. Develop community and bring in more diverse contributors.
2. Work on our second release, including convenience binaries and
support for Apache HBase 1.x without a commercial distribution.
3. Continue the momentum and become more integrated with the
rest of the Apache community.
Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be
aware of?
* Lars Hofhansl resigned as a mentor.
How has the community developed since the last report?
* Participation in public lists has been increasing:
809 messages in the codereview forum, 1051@commits,
561@dev, 1377@issues and 320@user.
* Steve Varnau has agreed to be the release manager for
our next release.
* A logo for Apache Trafodion was adopted by vote in February.
How has the project developed since the last report?
* Completed our first release in incubation, Trafodion 1.3.0,
on Jan 11, 2016. Many thanks go to Roberta Marton, the release manager.
See http://trafodion.apache.org/release-notes-1-3-0.html for details.
* Completely redesigned the web page, http://trafodion.apache.org
and moved content from the wiki to the site, following the example
of other Apache projects.
* Published documentation in form of HTML and PDF manuals.
* 287 commits from 23 contributors.
* 200 JIRAs filed and 139 resolved in the last three months.
Date of last release:
2016-01-11
When were the last committers or PMC members elected?
November 2015. We expect to announce new committers and PMC members
in our next report.

Shepherd/Mentor notes:
For comparison, this is what we reported last time, in December:
http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/December2015. Please reply if you have any
comments, additions, corrections, etc. for this report.
If you wonder how I arrived at the numbers in the report, here are the
commands (# of emails are easy to see in the email archive):
# of commits:
git log --after=2015-11-30 --oneline | grep -v ' Merge ' | wc -l
# of unique contributors (requires some manual post processing):
git log --after=2015-11-30 --summary | grep Author: | sort | uniq
# of JIRAs, use JIRA search:
project = TRAFODION and createdDate > 2015-11-30
project = TRAFODION and resolutiondate > 2015-11-30
Thanks,
Hans
