Neither. The groups that are defined for us are: Administrators, ASF
Members, Committers, Contributors, Developers, PMC, Service Desk Customers,
Service Desk Team and Users.

There's no default group assignment. We've made a practice of adding new
contributors to the Contributors group and when one becomes a Committer
we've been adding that person to the Committer (earlier) or Administrator
(later) group. We've also added non-committers to the Administrator group on
a per-request basis to get round the shortcomings that Eric ran into.

Are we part of the jira-users or jira-developers group by default?
