FYI: I've recently gotten a lot more free time to contribute to ASF
projects, and I have a definite interest in having ways to easily make
chunks of re-purposeable slide decks and similar.

happy to collaborate. For that I “translated” a German presentation we
were giving during my time at codecentric when we were doing our Apache
Roadshow to explain what the ASF is and how it works. I replaced all
static images with generated ones and updated the numbers.
Since many of the people who will be interested in participating are
going to be content creators, will there be docs explaining how they can
work on content here, without having to know what Maven is?
- How do I propose a patch to a page on the website?
- How could I check in a new slide deck?
- What (roughly) are the restrictions/requirements on a new slide deck?
I.e. are we essentially creating a few ways/tools to build slide decks,
and the podling just supports those? Or should it be easy for someone to
propose a Remark.js slide deck that otherwise used similar themes/settings?
Does that make sense? I get the bigger picture of working on easily
reusable tools that could help build content in better ways (which
requires coding), but to be an "interesting" podling, we also need to
make it easy for content creators to just write, and not think about builds.
