Hi Mirko,

Well, the main difference will be that you should run the release steps in the
“tools” directory and not in the root of the repo. But besides that it should
be a pretty standard maven release.

And regarding the Key … yes theoretically it should be possible to do something
like a key-signing remotely, but it’s really challenging to do this absolutely
safely.
Right now, the only thing will be that when validating the release, I’ll have a
broken trust chain, but I guess that’s ok.
So just use the signing key, that you’re also using in Wayang and that should
be ok … just remember to add your key to the KEYS file.

Chris

Hi Christofer,

I am in CET (Berlin).

Ok, if there is just the release procedure,
I think I can handle it.

Using the documentation from PLC4X I prepared the release step for Apache
Wayang.
Following that route I will do the release for Apache Training.

There is only one blocker I have observed so far: I need a signed key, but
I do not have such.
Is there a way to get a key signed, even without a key signing event?

Cheers,
Mirko
