Thomas, Exalibur and Avalon have not had a release in years. Keeping the project active for the remote possibility that something might need to be fixed doesn't seem practical. The PMC has been in place for the last couple of years only to perform fixes in case they were required. None have been.
Even after the code is in the attic the code would still be available should something need to be done.
