ok! Just as a test I changed my version of the turbine-4 (SNAPSHOT)
pom.xml adding a reference to turbine-parent (SNAPSHOT). I´ve removed
any plugin versions, which are inherited, the mailing list and some
properties. I installed/packaged this with maven 3.0.4 (no testing
release) -afa I can see successfully.
The effective pom shows, that pretty all versions would have newer minor
numbers and for the site plugin (before 2.2) a major version number 3.1.
This caused the single change needed in site.xml, i.e. to remove the
href attribute from project element. Site version 3.x requires at least
maven 2.2 - the parent pom requires at least maven version 2.2.1, so
this seem to be ok.

There used to be a Hackathon on Monday. There surely will be time for
some coding.
I'd prefer to get the Parent POM/Nexus stuff working and then there is
the requirement of Infra to host all project sites in the CMS until the
end of the year. This may be some boring stuff but we need to be able to
release again.
That said, I also have some ideas for progress:
- Annotations for Screens, Actions and ActionEvents
- Annotation-driven injection of services into modules
- JMX-management of Turbine services
- ...
