Some of what this distribution breakup does is to make it clearer what parts are required for which functions so could that also be achieved in a single distribution download by instead of having a single large lib directory for all the jars split those out into multiple lib directories in a way similar to these distributions breakup? That way we still have a simple single download but more advanced users would also find it easier to customize by easily see the parts they don't need so can delete? We could also start trying to reduce the size of the distro by removing some of the things that don't get commonly used, for example, things like xmlbeans and some of the script language runtimes have large dependency jars. ...ant [1] http://marc.info/?l=tuscany-dev&m=120179224101564&w=2 [2] http://marc.info/?l=tuscany-dev&m=120207093121188&w=2
