Hi--
I came across the posting about UI testing on the OO to-do list, and I'd be interested to get involved.
I'm a PhD student at the HCI group, Department of Computer Science, University of York (UK). My current work is on temporal aspects of human-machine interaction, and I have previously worked on the effects of system response times on users' navigation strategies. My background is in psychology, and I have done work on user tracking and microworld simulations.
I have subscribed to the UI mailing lists to see what's going on, but if there is anything in particular that needs doing, please let me know. We have some (limited) resources for usability testing here at the HCI group.
Cheers, --Michael
