Hi Mei,
you can give a graphic (object) in Impress a name with the context menu
entry "Name Object..." (german: "Objekt benennen..."). You will see this
name on the navigator but the name is not used as an alternate text.
You can post an enhancement issue with the issue tracker (see:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/project_issues.html) or if you
want to implement it by yourself, please ask [email protected]
for more help, because I do not know the Impress source code.
