There is no configuration for this. We figured out it doesn't slow down performance, so it's always done, no way to disable it. > table header structural markup (Header columns & rows) People can create well structured tables, but they need to turn on “repeat headings” (Writer), or use print ranges (Calc). Adding some extra UI for this probably doesn't make sense as long as people can't declare headings w/o repeating them! In Writer, it might be a good idea to turn on “heading” and “repeat” by default. OOo only fakes to have captions - in reality it's just image+text in a frame, and some application logic handling this as a caption under certain circumstances.
