Nice ideas and implementation, thanks for the submission. The code needed 
modifications to deal with the latest version in SVN which supports a user 
specified description. Also, the code is modified because there is no longer a 
"default" quantum size; different top-level node pools can have different 
quantum. If not specified DUCC_MEMORY_SIZE is set to 1 and then will be rounded 
up to the quantum for the specified class.
