Alerts
It would be very useful for administrators and users to know when critical
situations arise. One case is where a core daemon, such as Orchestrator or
Resource Manager has become uncommunicative. This can be seen on the Daemons
page, but many times this page is not regularly checked. We thus introduce an
additional line to the banner of the main pages that remains undisplayed unless
one of the core daemons is determined to be down.
Example: ALERT - critical component(s) unresponsive: Database
Messages
It would be very useful for administrators to communicate upcoming events to
the user community, such as a scheduled maintenance window. Like alerts, it
would be handy to display this information on each of the main pages.
Example: Do not adjust your set. This is a message from your DUCC
administrator.
