The SerialFormat enum changed the ordering of the existing enums. This may cause some backward compatibility issues if this was used in a manner dependent on that order (e.g., SerialFormat.XMI.ordinal()).
It's better to leave the order unchanged, but OK to add new enums at the end - this keeps any use of the old enums consistent. -Marshall
