Ok, that looks interesting... have to look into it more... but right now I feel 
that a syntax like

// simple work-around for non-chaining type inferencing - supply the type
FSIterator<Token> it3 = cas.<Token>select("my.Token").fsIterator();

is beyond what can be expected even from advanced Java coders... I feel/fear it 
does not fulfill the aims of an intuitive and simple API.
