Peter Klügl commented on UIMA-6414:
-----------------------------------

There was actually a flaw in the logic of how side steps are handled,
especially when stepping out of/falling back to a composed rule element. The
sidestep origin needs to be updated to the composed element. This was lately a
problem since the side step is considered now before the fallback of the parent
element is matched (the composed element tries to continue the match).
