@kp-taylor UIMA-AS has been retired due to lack of maintainers and due to there not being a v3 version. You could have a look at this branch and see if you can revive it with UIMAv3. You might care trying to send a mail to the UIMA developers mailing list just in case any of the past maintainers or contributors might still be there and might give you a pointer, but you shouldn't make starting your work depending on a response.
