This ticket:

was blocking the upgrade to Jackson 2.12, CXF 3.4.5 and Karaf 4.3.x
-Now that CXF 3.4.5 is released, we should try to upgrade all this again. -
EDIT: It seems that CXF 3.4.5 doesn't fully solve the problem it seems a Karaf
release is also needed.
