Normally it is a good idea to leave the vote open for 72 hours, unless we need the release urgently (as in the case of a security fix). Or we should at least specify in the vote that the window will be open less long. Please be careful with this as there are not many conventions at Apache but this one is important to make sure the community has time to review and vote even (for example) if there is a week-end in between.
