[~malaka] sorry for the late response. I have been trying to track down where
this issue came from but can't find it. I don't have access to an old Android
browser, so I can't try to reproduce.
I think the problem was that, due to the CORS issues, the API calls would not
go through.
I am fine with closing this as "won't fix", unless others think that we must
support old versions of this browser.
