It sounds like we should enable the bot to archive everything, although I
wonder how that works?  We certainly don’t want to spam the list, so can it
send the update once per day (assuming there is something to send)?

Having said that, every Usergrider at Apigee is glued to hipchat all day long
(Nate knows).  So on our side, having another room in hipchat is not a delta.
We have had the IRC channel for a long time and there has been only one
significant convo there, driven by Jake.

But, I also don’t want this to be about Apigee.  It is about Apache and the
committers and contributors to Usergrid.  I want the community to stay
connected and for everyone to know what is going on.  I think we have done a
good job of using Apache Jira.  From what I can tell, there have been tickets
opened for basically every change that we have done.  The thing that is missing
is the chit-chat.  We have a lot of that internally in our Apache room.  I just
want to take that public.

One thing in favor of using hipchat is that you don’t need a client - just a
web browser.

Just trying to improve communication.
