I fixed the issue, I had added an none persistent Hard drive and the
VCl didn't like that.
If anyone runs into the issue of needed more space to add to there VCL
image I did a small walk though if anyone cares
Might be good to add the administrator part of the wiki page
Log into your Management Node
Log into your Blade that has your Image Hosted on it from SSH
ssh vclesxi20
Go into the ESXI Blade
Go to the location that your store you images on
{I'm using NFS sotage so it's located here}
Go to your local storage if you are using that
/vmfs/volumes/b254e2be-e75868fb/vmguest (NAME) FOlder for example
Log into the ESXI 4.1 host and turn the VM off
Power it down
The command is vmkfstools -X 50gb to add 50 GB and then the vmdk file
( the none flat of the image you want to add more space to)
/vmfs/volumes/b254e2be-e75868fb/vmguest-15_144-v8 # vmkfstools -X 50gb
vmguest-15_144-v8.vmdk
I am adding 50gb of disk space
The command will run and be blank when finished
Note: Ensure that you point to the <vm_name>.vmdk, and not to the
<vm_name>-flat.vmdk. Using vmkfstools -X is the only option to expand
an IDE virtual disk .
To extend the C: partition, find a helper virtual machine and attach
the disk from the first virtual machine to the helper.
To add an existing virtual disk to the helper virtual machine:
Go to the Edit Settings menu of the virtual machine.
Click Add > Hard Disk > Use Existing Virtual Disk.
Navigate to the location of the disk and select to add it into the
virtual machine.
Go ahead and remove the oLD disk 1 from the VM
Your new VM should say 50 GB
Note: A helper virtual machine is a virtual machine that has the same
operating system to which you attach the disk.
Start the virtual machine.
Go into Windows Managment then
Disk Managment will show your old size and a none 16gb for example noew size
Click on the C drive and Click
Extend the disk size in windows
Done
