I see there is a perl SDK for Openstack listed here:

https://github.com/ironcamel/Net-OpenStack-Compute so perhaps it might be
better to use that versus parsing nova command output.
Also, where would the right place to put the Openstack UUID of the
computer/slot/virtual machine? Would it be another entry in the computer table?
