Actually, I worked on this part for my master thesis and I've got some good results. If you are interested I can send you my thesis. But, at that time, when I talked to NCSU developers, they were not interested on networking part and this wasn't their priority. This needs changes in different part of the code.
I've developed something by using Open Vswitch but it still needs a lot of works to be perfect.
