-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I think this has come up before - I think it would be useful to migrate our repository from subversion to git. Apache offers either one. The process is just to create a JIRA issue with Infra to migrate us. All of our subversion history is migrated along with the move.
I think some of the features provided by git (better branching, having a local repo that is different from the official ASF one, being able to commit changes to only part of a file) would be really helpful. Do others have thoughts on this? If most people think it is a good idea, we'll have a vote.
