Description:
The layout of the list of fields under the _Filters_ section could be improved.
The field names are currently listed in a grid with 4 columns and are sorted
alphabetically horizontally:

I don't think this sorting layout is very intuitive. It would be much better
to sort the fields so that each column is alphabetized.
I'd prefer replace the _Filters_ slide-down panel (?) with a panel that pops up
with single column sorted list and possibly a vertical scrollbar. At the top
there would be an _Apply_ button which is always displayed when the list is
shown (not affected by scrolling). This would help avoid the following:
