I vote +1.
It's a good trend to do more frequent releases as things improve.
By the way, I looked at the JIRA changelog to see what was new:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VELTOOLS?report=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project:roadmap-panel
How would you summarize this release vs. 1.2? Build cleanup,
dependency upgrades, bug fixes? Or are there other substantial
improvements?
Big things:
- ViewTool and Configurable interfaces are no longer necessary
- Syntax simplifications
- New showcase example
- Request-scoped tools can be restricted according to the request path
- new ContextTool
Little things (to me):
- better build process
- bug fixes (esp. in ImportSupport)
- more configurable defaults in generic tools
- new functions in several tools (esp. LinkTool)
