Ouch - that's a pretty unfriendly and non-productive email.
Henning, you made a great case for DocBook at ApacheCon US 2006 in your lightning talk. I'm looking forward to downloading and taking a look at your proposed release. While I think a point by point debate would be silly, I think it'd be really useful if you could restate to the list why you are dissatisified with the current choices for docs, and why this approach is so much better. If I understand your main argument, it's essentially "better tools available" and "more standard format". Is that fair? WILL On/21/07, Robert Koberg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

'bored out of my mind' after taking a very simple thing and making it extremely complicated -- how we feel soooo sorrryyyy for you.... The problems with rendering a simple HTML website do not(!) lie with XSL and XML. They lie with the person who has chosen the XML structure and the build system. uffff... f***ing again. This is so lame. I wrote an XSL in about 10 minutes that would have handled the existing XDocs and posted it to this or the user list (don't remember when and won't search the archives for it). Seriously, this is disgraceful. Does a comitter ever lose their status other than resigning it? Doesn't this call for a dismissal??? I feel like moving over to freemarker :-) (what emoticon do you use to represent contemptful sarcasism with humor and disgust) whatev > > This is the CfV for the first release of the Velocity DocBook Framework. > It is intended for creating and maintaining high quality documentation > generated in the DocBook format.
