Mike Kienenberger resolved VELOCITY-864.

Fix Version/s: 1.x
Fixed in 1.x "trunk".
I couldn't apply my patch -- I must have mangled it when removing the unrelated
code changes, so I merged it from my local 1.7.x build and re-tested it.
