According to the Apache Velocity [contribution guidelines](https://velocity.apache.org/get-involved.html), "Everybody's input matters," and contributions are evaluated based on merit. Simply stating the PR "does not bring much" lacks the technical feedback necessary to improve the contribution. While this PR has been open for 1.5 years, I’ve been actively engaged in an ongoing discussion with @michael-o and remains committed to seeing it through. If there are specific technical reasons why this change is no longer desired, please share them.
