Hi Bertty, here some comments :-)
For Apache it's actually not important that the project builds something usefull, it doesn't even have to work at all. What it cares about is community (Community over Code) and providing correct releases from a procedural and a jurisdictional point of view. So I would change the 3 things to something like this: Three most important unfinished issues to address before graduating: - 1 Educate the new PPMCs to be able to do Apache releases - 2 Do our first Apache release - 3 Grow the community With: " In the last month the community did a meeting where they created the most important point to be focused on." The question will be: Where's the protocol of this meeting? With mAturity, I'd select "Initial setup" So far for my comments :-) Thanks for the draft. Hence, it tames the complexity that arises from the "Cambrian explosion" of novel data processing platforms that we currently witness. Wayang has been incubating since 2020-12-16. Three most important unfinished issues to address before graduating: <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#three-most-important-unfinished-issues-to-address-before-graduating-15> 1. Creation of the Python and SQL API 2. Create an Easy Installation Support 3. Documentation covering the relevant aspects of Wayang, that is the how to use, how to add a new platform, how i can modified. *Are there any issues that the IPMC or ASF Board need to be aware of? <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#are-there-any-issues-that-the-ipmc-or-asf-board-need-to-be-aware-of-15>* Until the moment of this report it was created and didn't have any issue, because all the important issues got solved. How has the community developed since the last report? <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#how-has-the-community-developed-since-the-last-report-15> In the last month the community did a meeting where they created the most important point to be focused on. The main focus points are the creation of a Python API, SQL API and maintenance on the Core to be enabled to support the new API's. Additional to that the community is searching for more developers that can be part of it. Also during the last month the issue with the software grant got solved. Respect about the Python API has been producing good progress and it is possible to have an alpha version soon. How would you assess the podling's maturity? <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#how-would-you-assess-the-podlings-maturity-15> Please feel free to add your own commentary. - Initial setup - Working towards first release - Community building - Nearing graduation - Other: *Date of last release:* <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#date-of-last-release-14> XXXX-XX-XX When were the last committers or PPMC members elected? <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#when-were-the-last-committers-or-ppmc-members-elected-15> 2021-02-XX //TODO this need to be update when the votation in process end Have your mentors been helpful and responsive? <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#have-your-mentors-been-helpful-and-responsive-15> Yes, the mentors and champion are very responsive and helpful Is the PPMC managing the podling's brand / trademarks? <https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/February2021#is-the-ppmc-managing-the-podlings-brand--trademarks-15> The team is finishing the process of renaming the project from Rheem to Wayang, and is important to review that everything is placed in the right spot.
