Hi Matthew, It is so nice to hear that you want to work your tesis with Apache Wayang.
One element that will help you in the development of your tesis it knowing well the API of Wayang for doing that you could start working with the issue of unitary test of the dataquanta [1], this issue is to implement the unitary test of the api of wayang.
