Hi everyone, We have considered submitting a C4P of the Wayang project for the next CoC that will be in Europe in 2024, and we have some ideas but we would like the community's opinion on that!
@Mirko Kampf, who is also a committer of the Apache Training project ( https://training.apache.org/), suggested submitting a poster joining the Training project with Wayang. Here is his idea: > The poster should show the Apache Wayang architecture and usage-scenarios. > Both is important material for onboarding of new developers. > Based on this reference documents (from Apache Wayang) we (the Apache > Training team) can derive a "recommended documentation structure" and > propagate it into other ASF projects. This way we may initiate a > cross-domain cross-project communication for a stronger community which > lowers the barriers for new members. At the same time, I am working on the Diversity initiative, working on an accessibility guideline for Apache projects and how we can attract new commers.I had an idea to prepare the Wayang website and docs to be a case of Accessibility put into practice (and a reference), and also prepare Wayang to be a welcoming project for new developers in the OSS world ( https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=278465058 ). We could also combine the two ideas into a single one. What do you think? Do you do them separately or in one presentation/poster? (Also, feel free to give opinions about the two topics) Cheers!
