Hello, and happy new year, I am getting closer to the first version of a Kafka-Source for the Java Context.
But, I am not able to "expose" the *readFromKafkaTopic()* Function I have added. Here is what I get after building the new distribution in my branch: [image: image.png] Here is the code I added to JavaPlanBuilder.scala: [image: image.png] Here is how I intent to test the new function with WordCount example outside the Apache Wayang code repository: [image: image.png] Although I point my app project to the freshly built distribution, I do not get access to the new function outside the Apache Wayang project, which is an indicator for a problem in my understanding. Maybe this is due to my lag of Scala details, or I do miss an important component in the Wayang structure. I also added a test but this hangs in the moment when the Kafka client starts subscribing to the topic, before we pull data. This second issue has been reproduced and I am on my way finding a solution for this test problem, but regarding visibility of the function in JavaPlanBuilder I would be happy for any hint which helps to move on.
