If you have suggestions for the Mac site <http:// porting.openoffice.org/mac/>, let me know. Also discuss it on mac- [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The biggest problem that we have currently is that there is no dynamic server side technology available. This makes creating decent websites a big pain. This is a limitation on the CollabNet infrastructure.

Louis Suarez-Potts asked me if I wanted to join the website
development project.

I joined because there is a lot of work that could be done to
improve the site.

There are a lot of Windows users and now MAC users that are not real
familiar with Open Source Software or mail lists. Those people
generally will not search for answers to their questions. They will
generally find an e-mail address and send questions to it. They ask
the same questions all the time on the general users mail list. The
site needs to do a better job of putting that information right in
their face so they will see it right away so they don't keep asking
the same questions.

The site also needs some improvement with navigation and terms that
most of us just know and take for granted so the non-technical
users can navigate and understand what they are reading.

I am willing to help with these things.
