Hi,

Maarten, are you conceiving the user page requirements page as
describing the requirements for the OOo homepage?

( we are talking about this page:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/User_Pages_Requirements )

Good question :) The simple answer: yes, I never saw them as two different things... but I understand why you are asking this, since it has been a
confusing issue... I maybe should have been more clear. I think of the
user pages requirements page as a page describing what the user should
get. How? What techniques? which domains? I don't care yet. But if we want to make some transition towards it, we may better try to work towards a goal set out somewhere, and I like that "user pages requirements"- page for
this (well that is how I feel about it)

Okay, it's not quite what I had in mind--I had in mind a *separate* page for endusers, the portal.ooo thing.

I'd like then to divide the requirements, even at the expense of prolonging the process, so that we have

* requirements for the homepage
* requirements for the portal page (when it comes into being)

leaving aside the download page, which we can also establish.

The homepage has different audience than the "portal" (or users') page: it is focused on enabling downloads and key (click on opens up more) information about OOo (prod/proj.)

Maarten
