How is this going to help with propagating/testing the new
headers/footers to the current site????
and ps. the tabs are not yet "filled in" but this is minor
also see below...

Christian,
Since you are (at least seem to be ;) ) best skilled in Collabnet's
scripting language... would you be able to configure test as such that
we can play around there?
I think we can make PostServlet.vm include a new file PostServletNew.vm
like this?
#if ($currentProject.getName() == "test")
#parsePrefix( "PostServletNew.vm" )
#else
<current PostServletNew.vm code >
#end
Or did I misinterpret your solution?
yes, Christian did propose this but, again, it doesn't really help with
testing how things will "act" with backloading if you will.
Someone would need to take a look at the parse scrips, but I think at
the very least we need to take Ivan's styles (the *names of them*, for
example), and make them equivalent to what is used by Collabnet, or
something, or disable a LOT of styles currently used for the whole site,
like #banner and #toptabs, which I did to make things work, as far as
they have in tryouts.
Really, I'm very foggy on how we could do this/get this work without
remastering a bunch of stuff, i.e the exsiting site style sheets and the
elements that are defined.
We can then merge/create the new .vm files based on the design by Ivan,
if he is finished with the header and footer.

This may allow us to experiment without the hassle of CSS hide and

of <div>-blocks. Can we turn the entire website.openoffice.org in our
playground (as it is not a really important page), or could Louis
create a
new project for testing?
That would be easiest. We have already test.openoffice.org which is
more or less designed for this sort of work. Only thing is that it
doesn't have the left navbar as other projects. But if that's okay,
let's use this. I can give the necessary perms to those who need it.
