I tested it with the local judge of all things aesthetic--my lovely
wife--and her reaction was an enthusiastic "I like it!" And I do too.

I share your wife's opinion! Thanks to everyone for the great new
fresh design. Just two comments:
The "greyed out box" in the upper right should be more visible,
because some people might overlook it. And, I'd prefer having a
touch of the OOo logo blue in the header, to reflect our CI. Maybe
the right part can be just darker? This would also solve the problem
with the badly visible box. :-)
