Agree... but you shouldn't make them 8px either... furthermore I'd prefer
using em, instead of px.

As a good practice for fonts, I remember using 'em' measurements. I can't remember if I read it on Sitepoint or A list Apart, but it has been great help to declare fonts and their styles/size.

A popular utility (and great for accesibility) is having a 3 size styling that you can have but this require additional work.
