Hi,

Nowadays most of these issues seem to be solved by Frank Mau, who created
the new oneclick download button (CC'ed him for extra visibility). Btw, it
has been suggested that

http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/

is the best url to refer to.

I will probably have some time this weekend to take a look at this as well. The DL assumes certain things about locations and constructs the DL areas accordingly. We could either continue to do a workaround for Macs, or somehow set up pseudo DL directories for Macs within the "normal" DL scheme to deal with this somehow. This has been an ongoing issue for some time now, I'm afraid.

Hi
We need to change the link on the homepage for Mac downloads. Right now,
it points to bouncer and that is not working at all, as there is no
build there; it's also confusing.

Please let's change this for now to the mac porting page,
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/
Ick! It looks like some rather involved JS code needs to be changed to
do this. Stay tuned! :/

or even the Aqua download page, though that will elicit howls of protest
from the mac team.

What wd be best is to offer both options and describe the Aqua with
caveats: not ready for primary use.

BTW, see also http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=87485
