Hi Sophie, all

It seems that the new header is causing IE to generate a script error
in download.js.
All other browsers I have tested are fine (Opera, Safari, Firefox...),
but IE gives this seemingly bogus error:

Webpage Script Errors

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1;
Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR
3.5.21022)

Message: Object doesn't support this property or method
Line: 76
Char: 4
Code: 0
URI: http://download.openoffice.org/download.js

So, temporarily, www and download have a reduced function header. The
download buttons work again in IE. I will rebuild the header to
determine what caused this, but I suspect it has something to do with
encoding.
