I'm not familiar with the original form of this page, but, based on what
you currently have done, here are my suggestions. See my comments below...

OK, right off, I would *definitely* put

Information about getting the source

in some kind of heading format at the very top of this page and call it
something like "README first! OpenOffice Source information".

I think this information is rather critical to a new developer and would
explain a lot right up front. Also, I would re-arrange the bottom links
a bit. So, what I am proposing would be something like

README first! OpenOffice Source information" (linked to Information ...)
* (current itemized list you have)

Links (rearrange these a bit....)
    * System Requirements for Building OpenOffice.org
    *  OpenOffice.org 3.1.0 SDK
    * Developer Resources Page
    * Release Notes

Thanks for working on this. Our developers definitely need all the help
they can get!
