Howdy Kay, et al

Have been running Win 7 (ultimate) ~3 months, using OO. Looking at the web
page Sophie references - only caveat is about memory.

Using Virtual Box, with 512 .. 1024 meg - Win 7 / OO.o really needs 748 Meg
bare min. - below this the responsiveness from OO.o is IMO unacceptable -
640 Meg if you disable certain graphics features in both Win 7 and OO.o AND
stay away from launching a JRE.

Then again anyone faced with producing this type of min statement has that
problem I suppose, sure you can get Win 7 up and running in 512 Meg, then
launch OO.o - but would really be surprised if anyone will be satisfied with
it. ( Haven't tried this with Vista but would assume it is rather similar )

For example another office suite vendor also lists 512 Meg for Win 7 and
their suite, THEN adds a recommendation for 1 Gig.
( see: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/communicator/HA102407211033.aspx )

Also - diverging slightly....sorry. Any thoughts about an update to the page
regarding Solaris, more precisely, to add OpenSolaris as a suported
platform? I would guess the OpenSolaris 2009.06 release would be the
currently supported one?
