I wonder if somebody in-the-know wants to comment at Groklaw.

The layers go like this:

Yahoo -> Bing -> Wolfram Alpha

If a comparison of the backend directly and the M$ advertising front end
show a difference, then that would be useful to know, too.

One thing that stands out in my experience is that M$ services can give
vastly different search results depending on the web browser used.
Probably best to borrow a Windows machine, if you know anyone still
running that crap, with MSIE to do the test.

On our side, incorrect metadata is a big search engine problem
afflicting AFAIK each page on the entire OOo web site. It would be
better not to have any metadata (e.g. keywords, description) than to
spam each page with the same inaccurate metadata.

Hi Lars,

Well, you know this is a community - right - you see something that needs doing, you jump in and do it.

If you a good list of metadata for the site, for project pages lets say, or individual pages - put your thoughts up on the wiki and point to it with an Email here I would guess.

If folks think it looks good they are going to find a way to let you work on it or make the changes, don't you think?

Best Wishes,

Drew
