Sorry for missing this - I've been well behind on most email the last
two weeks and didn't get to the Whimsy folder. Thanks for sending out
the reminders.
I've had a look over the interface, and I'm fine with manually sending
out the reminders on 30-Dec and 13-Jan for the January meeting.
Ultimately I think this should be a cron job again for all those that
would normally be ticked - I can't at this stage see why we wouldn't
send out to a project that hasn't submitted.
Thanks!
FYI, I unchecked two this month - both has sent reports to board@ but
the reports hadn't yet been copied into the agenda. Note that the
board/agenda "missing" page will identify emails that look like they
might be reports, though there are sometimes a few false positives (e.g.
late reports for the prior month may show up).
Other things to look at:
- it doesn't appear to be noticing the board committees (note that
Security got nor reminder)
Hmm. I don't have an email address for each of the committees.
Reverse engineering what Marvin used to do, it appears that it would
only send emails to the chairs, and not copy the committees. My sense
is copying the committees is helpful -- what do others think?
Options:
1) drop sending emails across the board to committees.
2) only copy committees for PMCs, not for board committees.
3) determine, for each board committee, who to copy.
Thoughts?
- it would be helpful to have a summary email of the reminders sent
copied to board@ like Marvin, especially while it is manual to ensure
no-one doubles up
That sounds reasonable.
Is it helpful for me to put these as items in JIRA?
Doesn't matter to me. Putting the item in JIRA would certainly be
helpful if this thread were to go stale, but I don't think that's likely
to happen.
Cheers,
Brett
