At present the handling of SVN auth is fragmented.
Scripts constuct the command lines directly and error handling is basic or
non-existent.
If there is a problem with the password, SVN lockout can quickly occur.
Password problems are more likely when testing locally, but they can occur on
the live site:
If a user changes their password whilst they have a Whimsy session in another
browser window, then AFAIK Whimsy won't pick up the new password until they
next log in.
A centralised SVN access module could detect a password failure and refuse to
issue more SVN commands until the user restarts their session.
