classic web frontend/backend setup, with failover database and a couple of 
application servers

to achieve that, I do need a master-driven setup... 
yes, the signing of the client certificates is one of the topics to be handled

also, the "whirr run-puppet" to enforce the puppet agent run, would be a nice 
to have
